Amazing movie soundtracks for everyday life. Before Desolation Wilderness became a K Records band, Nicolaas Zwart (Electric Sunset, Drone Ranger) made some of the most mind-alteringly beautiful compositions I’ve ever heard. Like a chamber-pop band led by a synth player and inspired by Nico Muhly's Mothertongue and John Cale's Artificial Intelligence, Land & Buildings' Huron River Eclipse is an album "similar in tone to lonely morning rain or the stillness of a roadside motel on the long drive through the desert to nowhere."
