As Craven writes in the introduction: "I've always related to what Kafka says about a book; that it should serve as an ax to the frozen sea within you. In keeping with this, I rarely allow myself the pleasure of simply writing as a fan or even for fun. Thinking about it, that's hardly fair to myself, other zine writers get to do it and I love reading those zines. So why can't I spend some time writing one myself?"
